Close your eyes tight and make a wish!
Close your eyes tight and make a wish!
What a great joy to have the weather changing again back to WARM, SUNNY and FULL of energy!
We HAD to photograph my sweet daughter when she decided to take a moment to stop and smell the flowers. I think we could all take a lesson from our children.
On another exciting note, the finishing touches are going into our studio as we speak!
Can I get a whoop whoop!
A whole new energy is walking in with our new furniture, design elements & presentation equipment we are ready to make the best of this awesome season! MAK studios will be attending a few nationwide trade shows as always upgrading and expanding our knowledge and equipment.
We are looking forward to weddings, upcoming family sessions outdoors, and beach sessions! And as always we excitedly wait for our sweet new arrivals to make their appearances so we can capture that special fleeting time.
CONTEST GUIDELINES (No worries, its Easy Peasy!)
We have decided to do our contest VIA BLOG this time instead of Facebook because the rules of Facebook actually state that you CAN NOT do contests/giveaways on there. Alot of companies still do but we have decided not to as we do not want to risk having our page taken off, which is happening to alot of companies right now.
1. Follow us on our BLOG (on the right hand side click follow)
2. Comment on our BLOG post below on ONE of these topics!
1. How about writing a Testimonial of why you loved your session with us that we can use on our upcoming ALL NEW website in the near future.
2. Give us a great reason WHY this is the right time in your life for a session. What's beautiful that you are enjoying about your life right now!
3. Mother's Day is almost here, what do you love about your mom :)
3. ONE LUCKY WINNER FROM A RANDOM DRAW WILL RECEIVE A $150 gift certificate to use towards a session, prints or product of your choice.
4. Contest Closes next Friday, May 11th at 11:59pm & the Winner will be posted on the BLOG Monday May 14th.
Happy Friday!

I would love a photoshoot of my mom and her two grandchildren (my 4 year old son and 18 month daughter) together! No words can describe how much I love and treasure them. My mom was recently diagnosed with cancer and I cannot describe the turmoil my family and I had to go through worrying about her. She was a superwoman...did not show her worry or concern to us...felt she had to act strong. We received good news that her cancer did not spread and that was when she finally admitted that she had trouble sleeping before hearing the final diagnosis. My mom is a true champion and a picture of this amazing grandmother with her grandchildren would be something we would cherish forever!
ReplyDeleteI say this contest on FB and couldn't think of a better time in my life to need a photo shoot. With finances extremely tight, and one income coming in, we just can't fine the extras to have a family photo done.
ReplyDeleteI have two beautiful children. Zachary will be three and Miley Anne will be celebrating her first both in the next month. I love being a mom. I love spending my days with the kids, and learning with them as they grow and show their own personalities. I would love to capture these moments now in a photoshoot, these memories of my family!
When it comes to photography I am a firm believer that the photos should speak for the photographers. What you can’t see in the photos from MAK Studios is the warmth and patience that this mother and daughter team have. It is not always easy working with toddlers, but these ladies have always managed to coax my son out of his shyness and capture every facet of his personality.
ReplyDeleteI had a photo shoot done in early April of just ME - it was a beaudoir shoot, and it was also 6 months postpartum. Talk about being outside my comfort zone! Yet despite my post pregnancy body and my discomfort of being half naked, I was completely comfortable and at ease with Kelly & Marnie. The shoot ended up being a few hours long and the more they shot, the more my confidence increased. By the end of it all, I felt confident and beautiful and proud of my body.
ReplyDeleteYou guys are an amazing team, one that brings laughter and lightness to any situation. Thank you for your encouragement and unwavering dedication to capturing beauty that others may miss.
It was one of the most empowering experiences of my life!
xxoo
This is the right time for me to have a photo shoot because my baby girls are growing into beautiful toddlers and I couldnt be happier. I would love to capture this moment of growth on film so when they are much older I can have these pics to remind me of a sweet young time
ReplyDeleteWhat's beautiful about my life right now is that I have a son. I couldn't be anymore happier and I just love spending all of my time with him, watching him grow and putting every milestone in his scrapbook of his first smile, etc. I would love to win $150.00 towards a session so I can get a family photo done including our two dogs. Being on maternity leave and not as much income coming the money would be a big help.
ReplyDeleteThis is the perfect time for our family to FINALLY get our photos done. My son is 3 and has only done a xmas shoot when he was 2 and my daughter 1 has yet to have a professional shoot (unless you count your lovebugz contest or yoga. I still LOVE my yoga pic as I had no clue you were even taking the photo) This year both my parents and my inlaws are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversaries! What a better way to capture lifes special moment than a picture of the grandkids.

ReplyDeleteYou ladies take such beautiful pictures and I would love to have a photo session right now, because 1 year ago you took my baby girls newborn pictures! It would be wonderful to see how much they have changed in one year! Being a Mom is the most important thing to me and my life is so busy and crazy right now (in a great way!!) with 3 little ones that it goes by in a blur and pictures are the best way to preserve these memories!
ReplyDeleteFrom the time I was just a little girl I remember mom always being my hero!
ReplyDeleteAs a 5 year old girl I remember sitting in our new home and mom doing what she could to make things special and comfy as we began a new journey together in our new home having just moved out of my grandparents’ home. Being a single parent wasn’t an easy job but mom made it seem like a breeze. She always made sure that I didn’t go without, even if it meant that she had too. Mom took the time and did crafts with me, she sat down and would make homemade costumes, outfits, and so on. One especially fond memory I have was of her patching my “Pebbles” doll which was almost beyond possible repair; but mom knowing how special it was too me always did what she could to make me smile and fix “Pebbles” as so that I could still play with my special little doll!
As an adult single parent mom has taught me lots of life lessons but probably the most important is un-conditional love for your child. Now as a mother my-self I fondly am able to pass this on to my little guy. I love taking those wonderful memories that mom created with me and creating new ones with my little one. Mom now takes the time to be a special grandma and passes on her love to the next generation. As a grandma now she enjoys opportunities to play with and watch my little guy ride his bike, and fondly share stories of ‘when mommy was a little girl’, which he loves!
While we have warmly had the opportunity to get family photos, it would be a blessing to be able to get a multi generation photo of moms in our family. Something that would show that the role of mom never changes. She has welcoming home and a warm heart that continues on.
I dont think that it is truly possible to appreciate your mom until you become a mom yourself ... No words can describe how much I love my mom she is my best friend ... when I think about all the things she has done for me over my life I am amazed at all the encompasses what it truly means to be a mom ... she is what inspires me everyday to be the best mom I can be to my daughter and I know that no matter what she is always there for me :)
ReplyDeleteI have had the joy twice of MAK Studios taking photos of my child but never in a session. They are not only amazing photographers but super helpful and kind. One of the pictures was lost months later due to a computer crash and they re-emailed the image to me. I would love to do a birthday session with my gorgeous girl, Kaitlynn, who makes me complete
ReplyDeleteMotherhood…what a gift!
ReplyDeleteMy mama and I have been best friends since I can remember and our bond is even stronger now that I have a daughter of my own. She is always to there to provide a hand, offer some friendly advice or loan an ear when I want to get something off my chest.
What I love most about my mama is that she appreciates the ‘small stuff’ and takes true pleasure in the minor details in life that many pass off. She has a big heart and is genuine to everyone she meets.
I am truly blessed to have such an amazing woman in my life and look forward to the day that my daughter and I share a similar bond.
Happy Mother’s Day!
My 9mos old daughter, husband & I had an amazing time doing a maternity photo shoot last week with MAK. I am self employed & have been put on bed rest in hopes of deterring another preterm delivery. MAK was kind enough to come to the house for the shoot :) We could really use the prize for some prints of the shoot since money is tight with a 9mos old, another one on the way & only one income on the house now. I can't think of a better way to cherish this moment in our lives!! Thanks again MAK :)
