We started with taking detail shots of the cake, fully assuming that our opportunities would be over in a couple of minutes. Well, we were wrong. After setting the cake in front of these two lovely babies about to turn 1, they astonished us. They didn't dive in, but more approached the experience like fine dining. Carefully assessing the situation before they took part. Since then, every session has been as individual as the babies we are photographing.
Now, after several cake smash sessions, we have it down to a fine science. The bathroom is laid out with a fresh towel for clean up, the acrylic is on the floor, and we are set. Of course we take some nice and clean shots before the cake flies! The image below showcases our most recent sessions. This mom even went so far as to bake us some cupcakes to enjoy too!!
